Clinton County Emergency Management Agency has an opening for a Full Time, Operations Officer.

Applications will be taken until 4:30pm January 06, 2022.

Essential Job Duties:
Contributes to the efficient and productive operation of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) by performing responsible emergency response duties and assists in the organization and supervision of all EMA volunteer personnel. Manages the budget and scheduling for the Medical Examiner Investigators for Clinton County. The Operations Officer is available for 24 hour response during emergencies and periods of activation.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited college/university. and two (2) years of emergency services, or related work experience – e.g. experience in Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighting, Emergency Management, disaster services, or military preparedness. or any combination of education and experience with two (2) years of experience substituting for each year of education up to ten (10) years of applicable experience and no college/university education.

Benefits:
Salary range from $49,500 to $53,500 with an $8,000 one-time increase when the IACEM is achieved (2 years assuming no Emergency Management specific experience). https://www.iowaema.com/index.php/iacem

Clinton County Building Maintenance has an opening for a Full Time Custodian.

This position reports to the Clinton County Facilities Director.  Clinton County is looking for someone with previous custodial experience in commercial, school, or hospital setting.  This position requires a person who will take pride in the way the building looks for the residents of Clinton County.

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office is now seeking applications for the Sheriff's Reserves.

Prospective reserves must pass a timed written test, a physical test, and a basic oral interview. A background check on the applicant’s driving record and a criminal history will be performed. Applicants who successfully pass the above criteria are then invited for a second oral interview with the Sheriff and members of the Sheriff reserve executive board. Top candidates will then be invited to take a psychological exam. The final step for those selected will be a physical exam. The entire cost of the process is paid for by the Sheriff’s reserves .
