SEASONAL CONCESSION WORKERS


This is a seasonal position, 20-29 hours per week. The person selected for this position will be based at the Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center at Rock Creek Marina and Campground, Camanche, Iowa. The person hired for this position will work under supervision of the Park Supervisor.   

Work Schedule: Shift will be days/afternoon/evenings and must work some holidays and weekends.   Duties: The person(s) hired for this position will gain knowledge in day to day park operations. This position includes the following duties: registering campers,  preparing/ordering food, general custodial maintenance to the MRETC, stocking merchandise, operating cash register and other duties as assigned. Employees must be able to do some climbing, lift up to 40 lbs, and able to stand entire shift. Applicant must be comfortable working with the public. Qualifications:

Must be 18, have a valid driver’s license. Previous experience working with the public and handling cash a plus but will train the right person(s). Pay is $12.00 per hour.

SEASONAL PARK MAINTENANCE WORKER

Work under direction of the Park Supervisor on a variety of park maintenance projects.  Operate a variety of power tools, pickup trucks, trailers and mowers.  Must be 18, have a valid drivers license and pass a background check and physical.  This position is up to 40 hours per week..  The position will open again in the spring. Pay rate is $13.50/hour

The Clinton County Sheriff's Office is now seeking applications for the Sheriff's Reserves.

Prospective reserves must pass a timed written test, a physical test, and a basic oral interview. A background check on the applicant’s driving record and a criminal history will be performed. Applicants who successfully pass the above criteria are then invited for a second oral interview with the Sheriff and members of the Sheriff reserve executive board. Top candidates will then be invited to take a psychological exam. The final step for those selected will be a physical exam. The entire cost of the process is paid for by the Sheriff’s reserves .
