Clinton County Notice for Appointment of County Medical Examiner

The Clinton County Board of Supervisors (Board) gives notice the Board will undertake its statutory duty to appoint the Clinton County Medical Examiner pursuant to Iowa Code Section 331.801 once every two (2) years. New Appointment by the Board shall be on the first Board of Supervisors meeting of 2025.
Any qualified person interested should contact Chance Kness, Clinton County’s Emergency Management Coordinator, at 563-242-5712 on or before noon December 20, 2024.

Lane closure on U.S. 30 between Wheatland and Calamus begins on Feb. 10

posted 2/5/25 · Secondary Roads If you travel on U.S. 30 between Wheatland and Calamus you should be aware of a lane closure that could slow down your trip, according to the Iowa DOT’s Davenport construction office. Beginning on Monday, Feb. 10, until December 2025, weather permitting, crews will close one lane of U.S. 30 between Clinton County Road Y-4E/130th Ave. near Wheatland, and Clinton County Road Y-44/170th Ave. near Calamus, for the replacement of three bridges over the Wapsipinicon River.

Changes to Outdoor Warning Siren System

posted 12/19/24 · Emergency Management Eighteen (18) Outdoor Warning Sirens in fifteen (15) locations within Clinton County will not be used after 12/31/2024. We encourage residents to utilize Alert Iowa, IPAWS (the Federal Integrated Public Alert and Warning System) and NOAA Weather Radios. As always Clinton County Emergency Management is committed to improving public safety.  A program to offer free weather radios to Clinton County residents has begun at outreach events and in conjunction with local libraries.
