Sheriff's Reserves

Prospective Reserves must pass a timed written test, a physical test, and a basic oral interview. A background check on the applicant’s driving record and a criminal history will be performed. Applicants who successfully pass the above criteria are then invited for a second oral interview with the Sheriff and members of the Sheriff reserve executive board. Top candidates will then be invited to take a psychological exam. The final step for those selected will be a physical exam. The entire cost of the process is paid for by the Sheriff’s reserves.
