Bid proposals will be opened at 10:05 a.m. October 13, 2026, and acted upon by the Clinton County Board of Supervisors at 1900 N 3rd Street Clinton, Iowa at their next regular scheduled meeting, or at such later time and place as then may be decided. Bid Proposal documents can be obtained at the Clinton County Engineer's Office at the above address. Clinton County will issue a sales tax exemption certificate and letter to the contractor for the purchase of the materials to be used on the project.
Required Delivery Date- November 17, 2026
Liquidated Damages- $100.00 per day
A certified check made payable to the County, or a Cashier’s check, made payable to Clinton County, drawn upon a state or federally chartered bank or bid bond, shall be filed with each proposal in an amount set forth in the proposal form. Cashier’s check, made payable to the contractor, shall contain an unqualified endorsement to the County signed by the contractor or his/her authorized agent. Failure to execute a contract and file an acceptable performance bond and certificate of insurance within 30 days of the approval date for awarding of the contract, as herein provided will be just and sufficient cause for the denial of the award and the forfeiture of the proposal guaranty.
